Job Description
This role is in charge of monitoring child care providers to ensure that they are following all laws, regulations, and procedures. This job is also responsible for conducting monitoring visits and making recommendations to Team Leads on the approval or denial of registration applications or renewals of child care homes and centers within the allocated counties and caseload.

Qualifications:
- Inspections and assessments of current and prospective child care facilities ensure that providers are abiding by applicable state and federal laws and rules.
- Staff from child welfare agencies and law enforcement agencies work together to investigate and record allegations of child abuse and neglect.
- Working with the division and the information technology department to maintain track of child care registration data is a requirement of this position.
- Recommends to the State whether new applications for child care providers should be approved or denied, as well as if present registration should be revoked.
- You must keep your options open in case weekend or late-night inspections are required for reasons of safety.
- Provides technical support to facility operators by conducting training, answering inquiries, and supplying child care-related materials.
- Implements the center’s educational philosophy by co-planning suitable learning activities for groups of children based on their age, group size, composition, and other factors.
- Child care providers are informed and explained of concerns that need corrective action, and a plan for appropriate remedial action is made and given deadlines for solutions.
- Creating an environment that encourages self-confidence, trust, and human respect.
- Child care regulations can only be followed if all parties working in the sector in a specific region collaborate as a team to ensure that there is no overlap in services.
Skills:
- Reading, evaluating, and comprehending general business journals, technical procedures, and regulatory requirements are all required skills.
- A Master’s degree or 36 credit hours of post-baccalaureate academic study are required. It is necessary to have at least four years of managerial or teaching experience in an educational program, or association with one.
- Outstanding interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities are required.
- It is critical to be able to effectively communicate information to groups of managers, consumers, directors, and members of the general public, as well as to respond to enquiries.
- It is preferable to have knowledge of the Child Care Resource and Referral Service or child care programs, as well as experience working with low-income families.
