Job Description
As a Bus Driver, you will be overseen by a manager, dispatcher, or training. In this profession, you will be driving a school bus or van along defined bus routes, delivering school-aged children. A School Bus driver may also carry diverse customers on charter trips.

Qualifications:
- Assist people with disabilities in boarding and disembarking from wheelchair lifts in a safe and responsible manner.
- Maintain the allocated bus in a clean and hygienic condition at all times by sweeping, wiping down all seats and the roof, and washing it.
- Maintain a decent appearance by clothing correctly for the profession, grooming nicely, and maintaining enough cleanliness.
- Maintain, read, and understand route sheets, including time adjustments, and quickly report any changes to the supervisor. Maintain good work habits by completing daily chores and extra excursions on time and with little absenteeism.
- Before and after each journey, make sure the vehicle and its specific equipment are completely examined, and submit the relevant papers to the administration.
- Always promote the goodwill of the firm by cooperating with coworkers, supervisors, and other passengers.
- Assist with the safe and timely transportation of persons to and from specified sites and related activities. Ascertain the safety and security of all travelers.
- Control vehicle keys, fueling slip receipts, pre-trip and post-trip forms while in possession, and turn in to dispatch as required by your supervisor.
- Fill out all the necessary paperwork and reports before, during, and after each trip, following the required processes. People can enter and depart the vehicle with ease if you operate it in a manner that is safe and responsible.
- It is essential that you adhere to the company’s vehicle maintenance requirements for the assigned vehicle and all of its component components in order to maximize the vehicle’s lifetime while minimizing wear and tear.
Skills:
- The ideal applicant would be adaptable, collaborative, and prepared to fill in as needed.
- To be eligible for a driver’s license, you must have three years of verifiable driving experience. There had been no more than two traffic violations and one preventable accident in the prior three years.
- Wheelchairs with a maximum weight of 40 pounds may be lifted, stored, disassembled, and reassembled by the attendant.
- Before loading or unloading children on certain kinds of school buses, the driver steps on the emergency brake pedal or depresses the air brake button, then pulls the lever or depresses the air brake button to release the emergency brake.
- Class B or higher commercial driver’s license required, as well as endorsements for passenger and school bus driving.
