Job Description

This position is responsible for driving brand performance, increasing brand equity, and increasing market share through the activation of unique consumer insights. The Marketing Associate aids the Manager in establishing consumer communications and innovation strategies for the brand, and aids the team in its pursuit of insights that help the team gain a thorough understanding of the brand’s target audience and design memorable brand experiences. The Marketing Associate is in charge of leading and implementing projects that contribute to the brand’s communications and innovation plans, as outlined by the Marketing Manager. When it comes to communications strategy, planning, and execution, this position works closely with agency partners. This position works with sales, shopper marketing, operations, product development, and finance to help drive demand for a brand’s products and services.

  • Find ways to improve the business and take the reins on new initiatives to spread the word about the brand’s commitment to good nutrition, healthy living, and overall well-being.
  • Help determine the best method of consumer interaction and the best way to organize a campaign to contact people when and where they are receptive to your message.
  • It is important for the success of a brand that its target audience has a firm grasp on the brand’s identity, essence, vision, mission, and underlying values.
  • Project manage consumer communications that focus on digital and social media first to build a creative domain that brings the brand to life and enables effective customer communication.
  • Lead communication plan initiatives focused on certain touchpoints or consumer goals, including agency and cross-functional team management, strategy, planning, execution, and results evaluation.
  • Prove that you can keep projects on track and under budget, and that you can weigh the pros and cons of different investment opportunities to find the best way to balance risk and reward. Find ways to promote the brand’s nutrition health and wellness offer via communications, and take the lead on related activities.
  • Handle brand-related tasks in a way that indicates your familiarity with critical consumer insights and your ability to put them to use in appropriate communications and innovation initiatives.
  • Analyze the consumer/brand demand landscape using digital intelligence technologies.
  • Utilizes brand, consumer, and marketplace data and trends to assist Manager in building an annual strategy to closely match Marketing and Sales efforts in order to produce optimal demand for the brand.
  • Use consumer and market data and trends to better understand the persona of the brand’s target audience, or of a subset of that audience.


  • Experience leading marketing communication projects including digital and media strategies is preferred.
  • Prior experience creating long-term plans for a brand or product, including marketing and advertising initiatives, is preferred.
  • A master’s degree in business, marketing, or a similar field is acceptable in place of work experience and/or education in lieu of a bachelor’s degree and three years of experience in consumer marketing, brand management, or product management.
  • An understanding of how to draw conclusions from data and trends to better understand client behavior is a plus.
  • Experience collaborating with external agencies and other departments is a plus.
