An enthusiastic and highly qualified Associate Editor is needed to join our fast-paced team. The individual who fills this role will help in the production of an interesting first-grade classroom magazine. The Associate Editor will propose article ideas, write some of those pieces, and assist in the creation of first-grade lessons and activities. As a bonus, this employee is responsible for taking care of all administrative duties.

Qualifications:
- Actively keep an eye on and analyze department systems and processes, and come up with and implement new ideas that make us work better.
- Improve the quality of your journals to guarantee that the Editors in Chief and Editorial Board Members (EBM) on whom we rely are as engaged as feasible.
- Maintain a close eye on issues affecting the country or region and maintain track of legislative and policy developments that might affect the government’s reaction and posture.
- Product reviews, technique primers, and interviews with chefs and home cooks are some of the types of articles I write and report for print and digital magazines.
- For guaranteeing that all departments are on the same page when it comes to content development, you should collaborate with other departments.
- Assess a wide range of marketing, scientific, and other substantiation given in support of advertising claims.
- Incorporating media concepts such as recipes and stories into the brand’s broader editorial strategy via conceptualization and presentation (digital, print, social, podcast, video, etc)
- Deliver clearly expressed verbal and written remarks, as well as practical, constructive assistance, on concerns such as excessive violence, explicit language, explicit material, imitable conduct, commercial product placement, and/or other images that may be inappropriate for broadcast.
- Planning a document for each article that includes approved sources, background material and formatting guidelines as well as a list of deadlines for each piece.
- Build solid ties with colleagues in the production, JEO, IT, and other areas. This will ensure that any issues that emerge with your journal can be resolved swiftly and efficiently.
Skills:
- A working knowledge of web-based publishing and content management platforms, such as Adobe Photoshop.
- For this job, you need to have worked in journalism or writing for at least three to five years, as well as have some experience with SEO and newsletter planning.
- Possessing the capacity to work well with people from other departments (like Art or Photography) and with freelancers and outside contributors, at all levels of the brand, is very important.
- It is essential to have the tendency to communicate with personnel at all levels, as well as the ability to operate as part of a group.
- Multiple priorities and a lot of tasks that need to be done on time in a dynamic and fast-paced environment can be difficult to manage.
