The role of the Digital Media Planner is to work with the rest of the digital marketing team to create and implement paid media campaigns that help the company meet its strategic business goals. Brand awareness and demand generation fall within the purview of this position’s responsibilities, which also include strategy, implementation, optimization, and forecasting. The ideal applicant has an ear to the ground for new platforms and strategic techniques and enjoys building relationships, negotiating, and winning. This person should be comfortable articulating campaign parameters to creative teams and working directly with media channels. Possessing prior experience with digital marketing and B2B SaaS is very desirable. Having experience with both digital and traditional advertising would be beneficial, as this position would focus mostly on digital media procurement. To be successful in this role, you must have an in-depth knowledge of omnichannel marketing and the ability to determine the optimal media mix for reaching a specific demographic.

Qualifications:
- Coordinate with other members of the digital marketing team to develop and implement paid media strategies in support of ongoing lifecycle programs and point-in-time demand generation campaigns aimed at business and enterprise customers.
- Co-ordinate with strategic media vendors and Account-Based Marketing partners to negotiate and manage paid media campaigns.
- For paid media campaigns, collaborate to create omnichannel advertising strategies based on buyer profiles.
- Verify that monthly vendor billing complies with third-party advertising metrics.
- Make sure your campaigns are being carried out by your partners as planned by keeping an eye on ad verification, brand safety, and viewability.
- You should meet with your media partners on a regular basis while the campaign is running to ensure that they are doing a good job.
- Construct paid media recommendations across platforms for the client, taking into account their specific needs.
- Learn about relevant media and partners in order to suggest buy placements. Locate novel promotional openings that align with the campaign’s strategy and goals.
- Flowcharts, media budgets, media authorizations, and vendorINSERTion orders must all be created and maintained.
- Send out an RFP to potential media partners for client campaigns that are in line with the customer’s goals and key performance indicators.
Skills:
- Media planning and buying experience of at least three years’ duration, including paid search, social media, programmatic, and direct buys.
- Experience with ad negotiation, native media buys, and content marketing. Experience working directly with outside media sales teams.
- 4-6 years of experience in digital media marketing, including 2-3 years negotiating media campaigns and expenditure with third-party vendors.
- confidence in navigating the B2B market to locate new channels based on industry or persona, as well as familiarity with the acquisition process for B2B software.
- Direct advertising buys with vendor partners provide for price reductions and additional value-added services for clients.
