Job Description

As the Creative Director, it will be your responsibility to develop and implement original strategies and creative guidelines that build or maintain brand equity for both new and existing products across our whole catalog. By leading and mentoring a team of design professionals (graphic designers, industrial designers, photographers, illustrators, etc.) and by participating in multi-disciplinary cross-functional teams (strategists, marketers, copywriters, etc.), as well as frequently collaborating with external consultants, freelancers, and agency partners, this position supports and drives the department’s overall efforts and strategic vision. With poise and humility, the Creative Director will pitch critical initiatives to upper management. The ideal Creative Director is open to feedback but confident in their own ability to defend their work. Communicating your vision well orally and graphically is crucial to your success in this role. This role requires candidates that thrive in fast-paced, fluid settings, such as team-based workshops and creative brainstorming sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Provides attractive visuals, sound justification, and an organized presentation to clients in a straightforward, concise, and direct manner.
  • demonstrates a commitment to innovation while also being highly detailed.
  • keeps the stock’s visual identity consistent across translations and allows for further branding. The appropriate brand assets (identity guidelines, etc.) are stored, preserved, and disseminated.
  • delivers creative projects with a sound, well-articulated creative approach, supporting the entire efforts of the internal creative department.
  • Establishes budgets, deadlines, and deliverables in collaboration with the Account Management lead and department leadership, and ensures compliance with financial constraints.
  • Takes part in briefings for the brand; both approves and rejects alternatives depending on the brand’s creative approach.
  • Researches the art market and keeps up with the latest developments.
  • Reviews creative initiatives internally with the team; provides direction, coaching, and mentoring to lower-level employees.
  • Maintains timely and informative channels of communication between the creative process and external stakeholders.
  • The organization collaborates with both internal and external parties to effectively represent the fundamental brand equity and governance. The long-term equity advocate keeps the company’s image consistent with the outside world.

Skills:

  • knowledge of packaging design, including standard design, production, and cost factors.
  • Professionally calm under stress; adept at handling unexpected events and shifting priorities.
  • proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and the Apple Macintosh operating system.
  • A professional with extensive experience in developing and implementing ways to enhance designs.
  • Master’s degree in design, advertising, or communications plus six years of experience in graphic design, communications, or advertising, including package design, representing rising degrees of responsibility
